The shopping center in the heart of Leipzig shines in a new glow. The new Christmas concept takes visitors on a journey through the history of Leipzig.
This was developed especially for the courtyards and its design takes up the musical and literary history of the city. Visitors get to know more about the history of Leipzig and get inspired by the verses of famous poets from the city. Well-known composers and poets such as Wagner, Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Goethe, Schiller and Lessing worked in the city or were born there. Decorative and lighting elements in the form of musical notes, clefs and quills as well as well-known buildings and sights in Leipzig symbolize and remind customers of the important works and influences of personalities on the city and the world. Of course, a Christmas tree shouldn't be missing: the tree, which is more than just a tree, as it comes with a lightshow in correspondence with a piano next to the tree playing classical music. It is the first sound-to-light animation in a German shopping center.
While fairy lights inside the shopping center are reminiscent of a glowing waterfall, the historic facade is also impressive: projectors cast a wide variety of motifs onto the facade and wish all visitors a Merry Christmas.
